Abstract

The published work contains archival sources representing the field records of the members of the Ethnographic Commission of the All-Ukrainian Academy of Sciences, conducted in the 1920s – 1930s on the territory of eastern Ukrainian lands, which since 2014 are in the sphere of territorial encroachments of russia. A part of these field studies have been published in previous issues of our journal. We hope that they will be a convincing argument concerning the inhabiting of the mentioned terrains by the Ukrainian ethnic community. Therefore, the current aggressive military encroachments on these territories by the occupying forces of russia are groundless and contrary to the norms of international law.
