Journal Policy

Periodical journal «Folk Art and Ethnology» is a peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal that contains research articles, source materials, chronicles, and professional reviews.

The main purpose of the journal is to highlight the most pressing issues of contemporary ethnology (ethnology, folklore) and to promote awareness among the population on issues of interethnic relations, national politics, harmonization of social processes and cultural development.


  • dissemination of scientific knowledge in the field of humanities among the general public;
  • formation of proper ethno-cultural awareness of the population and harmonious interethnic relations;
  • prevention of the emergence of ethno-conflict situations and the formation of tolerant and benevolent social co-operation through the dissemination of reliable scientific information;
  • aesthetic upbringing of society by popularizing the best works of folk art and folklore.
