Krychevskyi has adapted the style of old Ukrainian folk architecture in this premise for the first time.
The Galician magazine Nova Khata in the 1920s, been founded initially to educate public taste and preserve national traditions, has continued to provide the principles for home design development in Western Ukraine. The magazine has been established by the feminine organization Ukrainian Folk Art in cooperation with the artists and art critics. The members of Nova Khata have adapted traditional patterns for contemporary users with the attention on keeping the Ukrainian art and craft tradition alive.
