Creation of Film Score Composers in the Context of International Film Festivals
Abstract
The main models of composers’ interaction with film reviews are examined, exemplified by international film festivals, in particular, ones in Venice, Cannes, Berlin, Ghent, Kyiv and others. The article compares a role of the leading international film reviews and awards by the film academies of the USA, Europe and Great Britain in promoting film music. It also outlines an influence of film festivals on the participation of film score composers in international cooperation projects.
